This week I spent all my time modeling the new version of the shopping cart that will have a gas engine and a prebuilt axle. My axle arrived last week and this week I started off by creating a new model for the shopping cart. I modeled each part of the axle individually which then came together as the full thing.
With that I modeled a way to mount the axle to the shopping cart. I decided to use steel square tube stock for mounting it on. My idea is to have the tube stock welded onto a plate which is then welded on to the cart. I then got to work modeling the rest of the shopping cart starting with the basket. Modeling the basket was relatively simple the most complex part of this model was the axle. With the basket I got the seat that I will be sitting in modeled as well. I started working on the model for the bicycle portion of the shopping cart towards the end of the week. Next week I should be getting my handle bars and the model will hopefully be done for now.
