Week 10/23-10/27

This week all my progress from last week had been reset but I've managed to power through and make progress regardless. For the past several weeks I had been working n the long task of creating a new animation to for my zoetrope. I started by spending a whole week learning how to use blender and I tried creating an animation there. Then after I realized I could create my whole animation in fusion I abandoned ship and the week after I worked on modeling my animation. But then at the start of this week I had to delete it all because my lines were not constrained causing failures in the model. And after one day I managed to get my model back completely.

I also tested the solution to a problem I encountered from last week after doing my multiple test prints. My problem was that the mouth would start to droop down for the smiley faces causing a V shape on the upper lip. So I printed it with the back placed on the bed with the face facing the sky. It worked perfectly but I was concerned about how some of the smaller cubes would print being vertically straight up and so thin. So I conducted a test print and it did not fail.

As of writing this I am getting all the cubes finally printed. The print will take multiple hours and I am unsure if it will even be done by the end of the day but by tomorrow they will definitely be done and I will be able to inset the threaded inserts. Once the inserts are in I will sand down the cubes a bit and spray paint them white to help contrast the black disk. Next week I will be modeling the rest of my zoetrope and figuring out how to use these new LED's I was shown by Mr. Christy. These LED's are significantly brighter than the current LED's I am using and will allow the zoetrope to function in broad daylight. Will have to wait until next week before I can delve back into coding and electronics unfortunately.
