This week started off with some trouble because I had ordered my steel bars on Sunday and they were told to arrive on Tuesday. So Tuesday comes and my steel turns out to had been delayed to arrive on Wednesday. So it did arrive on Wednesday however it arrived in the afternoon so I was only able to work with the steel on Thursday. In the mean time though I drilled the holes for the steel bars to mount on to the shopping cart and I printed out another variation of the coupler which again did not fit.

But when I did finally get the steel I saw that the current design I have would bend and permanently deform a lot if I did that. Ben Wirz showed me kind of how to use the fusion stress simulations and I saw that something had to change with the design so I spent the first half of Thursday coming up with ideas. Later in the day I found out that we had done our calculation for the force incorrectly so the stress simulation was inaccurate but the current design is still probably not strong enough. So far the steel has only one hole that I got to cut through because it took a lot of time making sure that the bar was straight and not at an angle when I bolt it in.
