This week was my first full week back. I was only in school for one day last week because I was on vacation and then there was thanksgiving break as soon as I got back. This week I finally decided to get off my butt and work on the LEDs after telling myself that I would work on them for over a month now. It has been a bit of a process figuring things out however. First order of business was to wire up the LED driver with a plug. After some searching I found a plug which was already cut and not being used so I put it to use.
I had to find the correct gauge of wire to use on the LEDs, I settled on 16 gauge. Then I had to figure out how to solder the LEDs because the LEDs had pads to solder onto and not through holes. Once that was figured out I could finally get the ball rolling. At the time of writing this I have only soldered one LED because it is somewhat of a lengthy process. I have to scratch the pads with an exacto knife so the solder would stick to it. Then I had to put some solder on the pad, wire, and the soldering tip itself and hold them all together. So far I only have one LED soldered but by next week they should all be done and ready for a full draft of the circuit.
